Shoreline Spin Fishing – June 11, 2022
Come try the exhilarating sport of shoreline fishing! You will learn casting techniques, how to select bait and lures, equipment needed, fishing tips, and shoreline safety. You will walk away with all the knowledge you need to go outdoors the next day to fish your favorite rivers, ponds or lakes! Location: NH Lakes region. Cost: $80. Registration is now closed, and the class is full at this time.
Introducing Children to the Outdoors – Friday July 22, 2022
If you have little ones ages 5-8, this class is for you! A mommy (or grandma/aunt/caregiver) & me class that will give you some tools and ideas to keep your children engaged in nature through a series of nature-based activities that easily adjust to their learning level and comprehension. The BOW program has partnered with environmental educators from Beaver Brook Association in Hollis to lead this interactive nature walk through the park. We will gather together at the end to share local resources and ideas for future outdoor adventures for families in the Manchester Area. The program will take place at Dorrs Pond in Livingston Park, Manchester, NH, from 10am-12pm. Cost: $35 family. Please note: Pre-registration required for this program. Lunch is not provided. Bringing children is encouraged, but please note additional supervision will not be provided. Curriculum will be geared towards ages 5-8. The class will be capped at 20 participants (including children). Registration is now closed.
Scouting for a Successful Hunt – Late Sept. 2022 (Date TBD)
New to hunting or intimidated by finding hunting access? In this course, we will cover how to find property that is open to hunting, tools that help us understand the landscape, new technology and maps, how to determine property ownership, and when to get out there before your hunt. Join us at Owl Brook Hunter Education Center in Holderness, NH for this class in late September. Cost: $80. Registration opens beginning of August.
Tools & Techniques for Managing Your Property – (UPDATE) Coming 2023!
Calling all women property owners! Do you have a tree that came down in a storm that you need to process? Do you want to establish better wildlife habitat on your property? Come learn the basics of chainsaw safety and discover strategies and resources for creating healthy ecosystems on your land. Location and cost: TBD.
